Raíz is dedicated to empowering, educating, and connecting with the youth and young adults of the Dominican Republic.

 

Focusing on ages 15-30, we offer classes that help young people grow in practical skills, build a strong identity, and develop achievable plans for their future.

At Raíz, we believe no one should be forgotten or left behind

We are raising a generation of compassionate, successful individuals who will transform their communities. By investing in local leaders, we help create sustainable change in the Dominican Republic.

How We Help

Youth Outreach

The youth in the Dominican Republic are eager to grow, but face significant barriers such as economic struggles, lack of opportunity, and the threat of sex tourism. Many feel like their futures are decided for them.​

Raíz offers a path to empowerment through programs that help them take control of their lives and discover their potential.

Empower & Educate

Raíz provides a free 10-week course every fall and spring to vulnerable young men and women.

​​

This program addresses challenges like gender inequality, adolescent pregnancy, lack of education, and the impact of generational poverty.

Connect

After completing the course, Raíz connects students to local businesses for job placements, internships, and career counseling, ensuring they have the tools to thrive in the workforce.

Our Camps

Raíz offers three unique camp experiences to engage and uplift Dominican youth

Summer Camp

Led by program participants, this camp teaches 12-14 year olds about leadership and being role models in their communities.

Leadership Camp

For young adults (ages 15-30), this camp focuses on team building and servant leadership.

Service Camp

A hands-on opportunity for youth to give back to their communities through team-based service projects.
